Duterte to bring home 16,000 jobs for Filipinos from Saudi deals

During his visit at the Saudi Chamber of Commerce office in Riyadh, President Rodrigo Duterte invited Saudi businessman to buy more of the country’s products and take advantage of the economic growth of the Philippines.
“We will make it easy for you to do business, and you are guaranteed on your return of investments,” the President said in his speech before the Saudi businessman.
“We need investments in my country, and if you may want to go there and invest, we can give you the best place to go about earning. Feel free, we will give you the best incentive and the best environment we can offer,” the President added.
The President also highlighted with them that agriculture is a major part of the Philippine economy, saying, “We hope someday our products will find their way in and acceptable to your standards.”
The chief executive has witnessed seven business deals worth $470 million on Wednesday during a business forum attended by top business leaders of Saudi Arabia and the Philippines.
“The estimated amount of investment is about $470 million. That will create 16,000 new jobs in the country,” Trade secretary Ramon Lopez said in a press conference.
“We look forward to a much stronger relationship with Saudi Arabia. They’re doing a lot for our citizens here and we see bright prospects,” he added.
