More Jobs Overseas for Filipinos

Date Posted: 05/23/2012

Manila, Philippines/23 May 2012/Press Release –Asian and Middle Eastern employers remain positive in their hiring expectations for the remainder of 2012. Most employers forecast hiring Filipinos from July – December 2012 for their territory expansions.

One of the leading overseas licensed recruitment agencies, Ikon, informed us that clients require skilled workers from Construction, Engineering, Oil & Gas to Hospitality, Beauty and Wellness. Growing demand is also noticed in the areas of Information Technology and Electronics.

Ms. Lorna Bondoc, Operations Manager of Ikon, said: “We experienced a 40% jump in the job orders for skilled workers, particularly in the Engineering and IT areas. Our Q1 2012 deployments surpassed deployments same period last year by an average of 27.2% for these sectors. This is largely because of the expansions and new projects our clients are undergoing this year and in early 2013. To address this demand, we are conducting continuous manpower pooling and we are consistently joining job fairs all over Luzon, Visayas and hopefully soon, Mindanao.”  Ikon is joining the 2-day PESO Jobs Fair in Pili, CamSur from May 24-25 and the Jobstreet JobGANTIC Career Fair 2012 on June 22-23 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

The Philippine labor market remains to be the top choice of employers all over the world. We encourage our kababayans to cultivate their skills and build solid work experience in their chosen fields as these will help them achieve their overseas career goals.

If you are looking for a job in Construction, Engineering, Oil & Gas to Hospitality, Beauty and Wellness, Ikon works with the world’s top employers, providing recruitment services for overseas, regional and local requirements and encourage candidates to apply either online or in person.

Ikon operates in Hong Kong, Macau, The Middle East and The Philippines.
